Alpine landscape prints from the Mont Blanc massif

The Mont Blanc massif is an inexhaustible subject: the light there is never the same twice. A sunrise sets the Aiguille du Midi ablaze within minutes, autumn mist redraws the Mer de Glace glacier, and on a calm day Lac Blanc becomes a perfect mirror for the whole range. The photographs in this gallery were born of those brief moments — often at the cost of a night-time start, hours of hiking and long waits in the cold, because the mountains give their finest light only in the first and last minutes of the day.

Each image is the result of careful scouting: the orientation of the terrain, the hour of raking light, the high-altitude weather. The photographer behind Avocette has been walking these Haute-Savoie trails for years, from the Brévent to the Aiguilles Rouges, with one simple principle: to show the mountains only as they truly appeared, without artificial retouching.

As prints, these landscapes take on a new dimension. A large-format Mont Blanc panorama becomes an open window in a living room; a misty scene on matte Fine Art paper brings a hushed atmosphere to a bedroom or study. Every print is produced on demand by a professional laboratory, on Hahnemühle paper, Alu-Dibond or acrylic glass, in six sizes up to 150 × 100 cm — and each copy is checked before shipping, so the image on your wall stays true to the light of that very morning.
